I don't have a change log, so I really can't say what is different. So far I have the feeling that the Google Play Store reveals more apps :-)

Hey Colonel. Wanted to ask a question? How does the momo11's screen compare to window n90 or the ipad. Also seems like they are going to introduce ubuntu(linux) for android phones. Will it be usable on this tablet? Thanks for all your great work.

DeleteAs far as I know the Window N90 is the same as the Cube U9GT2 and I can't really say which one might be better, they seem pretty much identical. I haven't had the chance to compare it to an iPad. About ubuntu, I have NO idea, sorry :-(

Also, if I have these installed on another older dvice (running 2.2), could I just copy the .apk to my new device and install that way?

ReplyDeletei bought the momo 11 bird and i love it, excluded the wlan/wifi. it is soooo slow. many peolpe have the same problem. My dBm (Signalstrong) is about -70 5m away, and -60 on top of the wlan router. Test with wifi-anylizer.
With speed test app i have araound 1,3 MBits Average and 4,48 Max con.
Any Idea?

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, no idea? I never experienced any spped issues on MY wifi, maybe it's a question of the encyption? Maybe you can try a different encryption to see if that'll help?

ReplyDeleteI never tested it. I think the firmware is dated 05.15.2012, only the upload was made on the 24th.
tried the new firmware dated 2012-05-24. makes my entire tablet so sluggish and always hang. downgrade to the mar fw instead.

ReplyDeleteJust got my Momo 11 bird edition and it has big wifi problems. Wifi works only if range to router is less than 5 yards and wifi speed is low even when on top of the wlan router :(
ReplyDeleteMy Wifi is the same as Anonymous above, tried flashing CMW CN9 to it and this didn't help matters.....I'm beginning to think that the poor wifi range of around 4 meters is the hardware and not the software.

Have you tried wifi analyzer? is your signal always steady!

My wifi is stable - just the range that it was getting was poor.

I always was dissatisfied with the wifi of Momo 11 Bird reception too. Not so bad as described by some. The Eken A90 which I was able to compare is a really lot better in wifi reception. Which makes it a lot nicer to use when using internet.

But I think we have to accept that the wifi part of the Momo is crappy.
Another annoying problem I have that I really lose wifi connection altogether when the Momo goes to sleep and are only able to reconnect sometimes when I have rebooted.

Deleteyou should also have a look at the wifi-cable running from the antenna to the pcb - i received a bird and the cable was NOT soldered to the pcb - after fixing it and moving the antenna (like in the slatedroid thread) my wifi is PERFECT ! ;-)
