  1. Can you please take some test pictures with this phone - I am very interested in comparison with zp100, which has very good picture quality.

Do you like this phone more than ZP100? I mean if you compare build quality, screen, battery? Can it be rooted like ZP100?

    THank you! battery life?

  2. quadrant and antutu of the B79 are greater that ZP100?

    1. That's a "coincidence". If you run those benchmarks 10 times, you'll get 10 different results. It always depends how "busy" Android is at the moment you run the tests.

Those two phones perform the same.

    1. Inside my house I don't get a 3G network but non of my phones do, that has something to do with my service provider. If I go to a window, it works just fine :-)

  9. Hi Colonel,
First thank you for all your wonderful reviews.

Is this phone the same as the 'Star B79M 1GHz MT6575' available from Merimobiles?

    1. Interesting... Fastcardtech have the B79m at $20 less than the IHTC One. They claim IHTC is better quality...

Has anyone tested B79m? Specs differ: Fastcardtech lists 3G frequencies as 2100mhz and ROM at 4gb. Merimobiles has 850/2100 and 512mb ROM.

      Thanks for a useful blog!

  10. Hallo Colonel Zap!

Hast du mal dne GPS Funktion probiert? Bin gespannt ob z.B.

  11. hi colonel Zap,

sorry Excuse me to insist, but the "real GPS" from B79 (not the a-gps) works as well as the GPS of ZOPO ZP100, thank you in advance for your answer ;)

Any general impressions on ZP100 FM radio capabilities? I'd appreciate a short summary, a few screen shots or link.

    Thanks a lot

  13. Hi, ColonelZap.

What about the screen quality comparison between the ZP100 and the IHTC One X 4G+ (B79M)?

    The same?

One looks better than the other?

    Care to comment?

  20. Hi Colonel is possible to backup the system by recovery ClockworkMod? it recognaise the device as HTC ONE but this device is not jet supported
there is some to do? or some compatible version of ClockworkMod recovery?

  21. Hi :-)
I don't think you will find an "official" CWM recovery for this phone. However, there MIGHT be something very similar out there called a "M44 Recovery". Maybe you can find something there?

No guarantees, I haven't tested anything, I don't speak Chinese, I'm just trying to point you into a direction.
