(untested, you are using this at your own risk!)
Well, I could not flash with this firmware since, there is checksum error in BOOTIMG, and I don't know how to correct it... well I know how to correct, but I don't kwow where from to get the right one.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this will help?
Deletehttp://chinamobiles.org/downloads/zap/A750fix.zip
I used that to root the phone, a bootimg is included.
Please let me know if that works for you. Thanks :-)
Well, sorry, but I did not use this one, since found another firmware version faster. It included Market apps and root. Don't ask where from did I get it, since flashing procedure was a bit difficult and I would not like explain or to translate it, as it was in russian.
Deleteyou can atleast share the link....
Deletewhich 6575 phone would you personally prefer to buy?
ReplyDeleteWell, I haven't had many MT6575 Phones but so far I like the Zopo ZP100 the best :-)
DeleteHi Zap,
DeleteDo you have any solution to access Google Play? It always requests to add an account but when I press Yes it will back to home screen.
I highly appreciate your help.
Have you tried to flash the new firmware? I haven't but it's supposed to have google play in it.
DeleteI did not tried to flash the new firmware yet. Did you test it ok on your A750?
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
No, sorry, I haven't tested it.
DeleteCould you please explain me how to enter the download mode of a750 to flash that firmware? Thanks

DeleteHello Colonel
ReplyDeleteFrom witch site did you buy the A750?
Thanks for your answer
Eric
Thank you very much for your review.
ReplyDeleteI a debating switching phones. Now have a gsmart 1345. Had to send it back twice. Battery life and processor speed are way below expectations. Before this I had a HTC Desire (first version).
Choice between: Zope ZP100, Lenovo A750 and ZTE U960.
The Zope ZP100 looks nice and seems to have a good screen, but is small brand.
The A 750 is the uglier of the bunch, but seems to perform.
The ZTE has dual active, but is expensive.
You have tested the lenovo and the zope. If you compare the two, what would be your advice? Do you expect the ZTE as well?
The first two seem to have a chipset build for dual sim. Not sure about the third.
This video clearly has the lenovo as a speed winner.

hi ColonelZap,
ReplyDeletedo you have a video tutorial or screenshot to root Lenovo A75 ?
kindly help me to root it
Sorry, I don't, but it's the same rooting procedure like this one:
Deletehttp://colonelzap.blogspot.de/2012/04/zopo-zp100-rooting-and-market-fix.html
But you'll have to use these files:

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if it's possible to install (after rooting) a custom ROM like Cyanogen?
Thanks!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all thank you so much for posting these, this blog is really helpful:)
I was thinking of buying one of these MTK6575-based phones and I short-listed this (Lenovo A750) and Zopo ZP100, I've heard that Zopo's screen is much better, not to mention the higher resolution but has a bad GPS receiver.
So, I'd like to ask you how does the A750's screen (resolution aside, the like clarity, colors and overall quality) compares to Zopo's? Also how's A750's GPS compared to Zopo's?
Thank you!
Hi :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I had the A750 only for a couple of days and didn't do much with it. Of course the ZP100 screen looks better but it's hard for me to compare them not having the A750 here. GPS seems to be better on the A750, so far I've never heard anyone complainig but I did hear some complains about the GPS on the ZP100.
Hi again,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for answering! I think I'd go with the A750 because it wouldn't be a big issue for me even if its screen happens to be not as good.
Also, it wouldn't look cheap with a known (Lenovo) logo on it;-)
That's true, after all Lenovo is a brand name and I'm sure their build quilities are good.
DeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteAnyone heared about this phone MTK6573 ANDROID 4.0 HD2 T8585 3G PHONE?
Please assist in getting the required files for getting my MTK6573 to be upgraded to ICS.
Hi All,
ReplyDeleteWhat about the standby and talking time? I read that the Lenovo A750 has a standby time of 15 days and a talking time over the 14 hours at least on the paper. It seems to me very good (maybe too much :-) If you hold such phone, can you confirm that?
Do you know other phone who have also a good autonomy?
Thank you
