Hi, when you say that it's a dual sim phone, does that mean that it can receive calls from both sims without the need to select just one in the settings?
ReplyDeleteThanks
That is right. Both simcards can be called, no need to switch. BUT!!! If one simcard is busy (let's say you are on the phone, talking with someone on simcard one), the other simcard can't be called at the same time, because this phone only has ONE GSM unit. They do that, because two GSM units would drain the battery twice as fast.
Deletehi ColonelZap.i bought this clone note and my 1 is alps brand i9220 mtk6575 and n7000.can u pls help me to root this device?
DeleteFastcardtech says: MTK6573 1.2Ghz whats right?! :)
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you are looking at the same phone on fastcardtech? There are MANY different versions out this.
DeleteThe one in my video is definitely a MT6575 phone with a 1GHz CPU.
Will this work on AT&T' USA 3G or only at 2G? Their 3G network runs on 850/1900 mHz.
ReplyDeleteHi :-)
DeleteI can't make any promises but this is that the phone reveals:
http://i.imgur.com/6y3az.jpg
Hello ColonelZap, how did you get to that screen in your image ?
DeleteCan you get to a similar screen showing GSM frequencies ?
Thanks
Try dialing:
Delete*#*#3646633#*#*
So it's not even 2100MHz or other options are out of the screen. It's a pity that you can't rely on information from website regarding UMTS frequency information. Are you able to check avability of 900MHz frequency which I need in Poland with my provider?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I can't test that, those are the frequencies that are available in Germany:
Deletehttp://www.smsmich.de/Mobiles-Internet/umts-frequenzen.php
Hello, thank you very much for the video review of the HDC GALAXY NOTE PLUS.I want to buy this phone, but i need a favour from you..I need the SPB 3D LAUNCHER you installed on this phone,..can you be kind enough to send it to my email so i can download and install it when i buy this phone.my email is tunji.tj@gmail.com.thanks a lot
DeleteI'm sorry, I can't. I bought it from the Android Market, if you install my copy, the license check will deactivate the copy on your phone.
DeleteHi ColonelZap, is this phone rooted? How to root it?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Hi :-)
DeleteIt's not rooted, I haven't looked into it, yet but I think I saw something in this thread:
http://forum.china-iphone.ru/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=19649
They are very quick and not reliable. Now they put your photo of available umts frequencies and again change them in their descriptions even if in comments they confirm that 900MHz is working.
ReplyDeleteAfter this info i quit to buy this item from them. Isn't there any information in chinese users manual about working networks freq.?
That's the problem, the manufacturers in China usually lie through their teeth when it comes to the specs of their devices. The online stores simply believe what they are being told, with thousands of products available, there is NO WAY they can actually check all the specs by themselves :-(
ReplyDeleteJust go ahead and do a google search for
haipai nobel i9220
and see what kind of specs other stores have about this phone. You'll see that probably every single store will have this phone listed with a 2100 3G network :-(
Fastcardtech is advertising a phone with a 5" inch retina display (IHTC Raider 4G X710E)with a resolution of 540*960. From your experience, is this possible? All the phones I have seen with retina displays have a maximum of 4.3" inches size. I would appreciate your input on this as I am planning to buy one of those.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm not familiar with the IHTC Raider 4G X710E, I can't tell you if there really are 5" phones out there with a 960x540 pixel resolution?
That's news to me, so far I've only seen 4.3" phones with that resolution.
I agree, the information I could find show the IHTC X710E as 4.3". Two list the size as 4.5" which leads me to suspect Fastcardtech took the 4 as an item number rather than part of the specification, shortening to 5". Seems to me they could hold a ruler/micrometer up to the bloody thing to check. ; ^(
DeleteI already asked their support ... they insist the phone has a 5" retina display ...... which I don't believe it does!
DeleteDoes anyone know if any of these phones feature "gorilla glass"?
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in the durability of these phones.
Thanks.
They don't use gorilla glass on any of these phones, I bet it would be too expensive.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you plan to do with your phone? Maybe this is not a "playground phone", but for example ZP100's glass still pretty solid.
ReplyDeleteAnyway its cruel to force gorillas to make glass... ;)
where i can find it to buy it? i search on google, but i found many different models, so i dont know which to choose, help pls.
ReplyDeleteHi :-) The one in the video is this one:
Deletehttp://www.fastcardtech.com/goods.php?id=7243
Hi, I just bought the phone.
ReplyDeleteDo you think it is good for games that are 3d? Is the phone fast? Is the wireless signal ok?
Thanks
Well, it's not a "high end" dual core (or whatever) device but I think the 1GHz performs very well, even on some 3D games. The wifi signal is o.k., not the strongest I've ever seen but I didn't have any problems with it so far.
Deletei found this cellphone in this page... can yo tell me if is the same than the review? http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/527248459-New-arrival-5-3-inch-I9220-N7000-Android-4-0-3G-WCDMA-MTK-6575-1GHz-Cortex-wholesalers.html
ReplyDeleteis more cheaper and it looks the same...
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI have a question about something that's very important for me. On the website at fastcardtech they say this device has got a 800Mhz GPU. Can you confirm that ColonelZap? Because i can hardly believe this, gaming would be pretty important for me but as far as i know they all just put PowerVR SGX531 GPUs in their phones which has 350Mhz i think. Even a Mali400 GPU has only 300 Mhz and so i doubt that there is any Smartphone GPU with 800 Mhz. I am asking because i found a similar 5.3" phone at china made wholesale which also has Wifi b/g/n. But if the one from fastcardtech really has such a super strong GPU i might rather buy from them.
Thanks in advance
Hi :-)
DeleteDo you know a SURE way how to test the GPU? Let me know and I'll try.
Did you run a graphics benchmark like GLBenchmark 2.1.4 on the HDC 9220 and the Star i9220? (or similar benchmark)
DeleteIf there was a huge lead considering graphics performance on the HDC's side then it really could have a much better GPU if not it was probably a lie. Plase share your information with me.
Thank you in advance
I ran nenamark 1 on both of them, both scored at about 42 fps, so I think they are identical.
DeleteThanks for your help ColonelZap. I guess i'm gonna order the I9220 from china-made-wholesale then because both phones seem to be identical but the one from cmw is cheaper (178.52 dollar) and it also has 4GB ROM and WiFi n. The HDC only has 2GB ROM and WiFi b/g.
DeleteHi :-)
DeleteI wouldn't really trust that it has the n-wifi, but of course I don't know that. I also think that the phone I have in my video also has 4GB but I wasn't sure, so to be on the save side I went with the specs that FCT has on their site.
Hello ColonelZap,
Deleteit's me again. I'm sorry for bothering you once again!
You know what, i send china-made-wholesale an email asking for some information about wifi wtc and i also posted a message at fastcardtech asking them about the 800 MHz GPU. The sad thing is fastcardtech didn't even allow my post, i never saw my question appearing there and cmw didnt ever reply to my email...
Then I used the website customer support at cmw and voila someone talked to me and answered my questions. But when i asked about n-Wifi he just copied the product specs from the website and didn't even check if it was right...
But anyways if you were to choose, which phone would you recommend me? the one from cmw seems to be a Star phone while the one from fct seems to be an HDC phone. the cmw phone would be 30 bucks cheaper but i also don't trust that its got n-wifi.
are there other aspects which would make one phone the better choice over the other? like firmware support or quality etc.?
I mean i neither know HDC nor Star...
Hi :-)
DeleteI really can't tell you which phone might be better? Don't get too hung up on these names, neither "Star" or "HDC" are companies that exist, those are purely fictional brands, those are just names made up by Chinese online stores to give their producs a name ;-) We (the outsiders) can never know which factory actually produces these phones, could be 10 different factories, could be just one that makes all these phones?
hello colonelzap, i love your videos and you have persuaded me to buy this phone.
ReplyDeletei just want to know, can this run 3d games like fifa and need for speed
Hi :-)
DeleteI haven't tested those two games but I tested Asphalt 6 which also needs a lot of resources and it runs quite smoothly.
hi
ReplyDeletedoes the phone really record at 720p (seller told me) and how often does it lag because i dont want a slow phone thanks
Hi Colonel,
ReplyDeleteI've just bought I9220 plus and sad it didn't come with google play in its ICS rom. I've tried to install it but up to no good, error every time i start downloding.
Is there any fix for this yet?
BTW, it there any GB for this I9220plus.
In my opinion, i think GB will run more smoother than ICS coz from my previous phone (B79 using IHTC Rom) rocks...
How is the screen quality?
DeleteIt's o.k, but no more than o.k., definitely not great, I've seen better. You can tell that 800x480 aren't really top notch for such a big screen.
DeleteHi :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is a Gingerbread FW out there?
About your Google Play Store problem: When you go into your settings - accounts, does it give you the option to add a google account?
yes i've got the solution,
Deletehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646544
It works.
Congrats!!
DeleteThat's basically what I did on quite a few phones where the market is missing. Sometimes you are "lucky" and it's just the vending.app that is missing, sometime a few more google apps needs to be copied to the system/app folder in order to have a working google account :-)
Hi
ReplyDeleteDoes the phone have a good camera
thanks
Hi :-)
DeleteI posted a test camera picture above, see for yourself :-)
Looks decent, but how about video recording?
DeleteI haven't tested it, yet, but probably not very good, so far I've never seen any Chinese phones with a good video recording ;-)
DeleteThanks, I am about to buy it and I hope it is worth it and fast.
DeleteI hope my video gives you an idea how fast it is. Those MT6575 CPU perform nicely but it's definitely not a "high end" dual core (or whatever)phone.
DeleteHmm, will it be able to run high end 3d games that are cpu dependant?
DeleteI know you said it isn't a high end dual core.
But I am sure that it can run most 2d games like angry birds etc
Of course games like Angry Birds aren't a problem at all, even games like Asphalt 6 run very smoothly, check out the end of my video where I do some gaming :-)
Deletehello, im worried about the display quality, theres a new model of this phone with amoled display...might look better.but Colonelzap which phone have the best display you have ever seen? (of the phones you have reviewed) this is very important to me, i want to make a wise decision.
ReplyDeleteI think the best diplays are on the 4.3" 960x540 QHD phones like the Zopo ZP100, IHTC One X, IHTC One S, etc.
DeleteTotally agree....
DeleteHi, does Skype work on these Mediatek MT6575 phones?
ReplyDeleteThe phone seems to work pretty well but i'm still not sure if i should really buy it.
ReplyDeleteMostly the batterylife is phenomenally poor and a lot of this phones drop calls all the time. did you experience such things with this phone?
I do not experience any drop calls on this phone. The voice call and internet connection are quite stable and reliable.
DeleteThe battery is not that bad. With the help of two freeware, i.e. Antutu CPU Master, and 2X Battery Saver, you can further extend its operating time per charge.
what is your favorite cellphone from fastcardtech? the most recomended?
ReplyDeleteI really can't say?!? I like all the phones with the MT6575 CPU, especially the ones with the 960x540 QHD resolution. They are all VERY much alike, it doesn't really matter which one, the Zopo ZP100, the IHTC One X or the IHTC One S, those are my favorites right now :-)
DeleteHi colonel, my eyes are on this phone, but please i need some infos from you first. I read somewhere that the GPS and wifi are not really good on some of this kind of chinese phones but what's about this HDC Galaxy Note Plus Haipai Noble i9220? is the GPS and the wifi ok on it? Please i really need your help. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi :-) Wifi works fine, pretty much like on any other phone I had so far. The GPS I only tested "at my window", it looked o.k. but I haven't tested it on the road.
DeleteThanks for your reply, at your window, the GPS saw the satellites? and also the Ram is 512mb and the Rom 512mb? Thanks.
DeleteAt my window the GPS worked just fine. I believe the phone has 512MB Ram, the so called "ROM" I'm GUESSING is an internal SD-card, I am GUESSING it's a 4GB card because approximately 2.1GB are available.
DeleteThanks you Colonel.
Deletedo you know what app they are using in the fastcardtech.com photos to show info at the bottom of the page?
ReplyDeleteI think that's z-device test.
Deletethanks colonel. was wanting to check what frequencies that the phone uses for 3G. Apparently it has 800/850/1900/2100 which would mean that I could get 3G if i switch to at&t (i'm in the US). do you get 3G over there on the i9220?
DeleteOh, you ment the VERY last screenshot? I took that picture, it's from the engineer mode, you can get into it by dialing
Delete*#*#3646633#*#*
And yes, 3G works just fine for me over here in Germany.
This model does support 3G at both 850 and 2100Mhz frequencies; thus, support AT&T 3G. However, 3G supports only SIM inserted in SIM Slot 1 only. The Slot 2 of the dual-sim supports only EDGE speed.
DeleteHello ColonelZap...when I dial *#*#3646633#*#* .. nothing happens...the dialed digits disappear...
DeleteAny other code or method of getting into Engineer Mode ?
My phone is SKY Galaxy Note I9220 LTE MTK6575 5.3 inch Screen Android 4.0 3G WCDMA Dual sim Dual standby.
Thanks a lot !
Hi :-) Sorry that is the only code I know. Google for
Deletem44 toolbox
if your phone is rooted, maybe it will let you access the engineer mode from there?
Hello ColonelZap, please can you tell me if this phone is the same phone with the Haipai I9220 MTK6575 Android 4.0(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25978118)
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Hard to say? There are SO many of these phones out there :-( All I can tell you is that the one I have reads "Haipai Noble" on the box.
DeletePlease what is the date of the firmware version on your phone?
DeleteThank you.
Check this out:
Deletehttp://i.imgur.com/Ipsmo.jpg
Thank you, according to your personal experience with this phone, would you recommand it to me? because i need a 5.3" phone, maybe you know a better one.
DeleteThank you.
To be honest, I not a big fan of those 5" phones, they are simply to big for MY taste. So far I haven't seen one that could be better than this one? I'm still hoping to see one with a higher screen resolution but right now I don't think one exists?!?
DeleteDoes the phone work with n64oid aswell as other emulators
DeleteThank you sir for your help, i think i will got for this one. Thank you.
ReplyDeletesorry sir, this is a china phone? may i have the name/brand of this device so i can find this in Indonesia? or do you know where in indonesia i can purchase this? thank you
ReplyDeleteHi :-) Yes, this is a Chinese made phone and the most common name for it is "Haipai Noble". I have no idea if this phone might be avaiable locally in Indonesia, my GUESS is you'll have to order it from China.
ReplyDeletenoted and thanks very much sir...
ReplyDeletehi ColonelZap..
ReplyDeletei`ve downloaded most of your vid on youtube and its really helping me when i`m going to buy China made phones..
so,question for ColonelZap.. :)

2.what are the best application did you use for all android phone @ tablet?can you give me @ all your fan out there the link of the application..

Hi :-)
DeleteI only tested the GPS "at my window", never on the road, so I don't know how well it really works.
I use many apps and games in my videos, I really can't list them all, is there anything in particular you saw and you are interested in? I don't even know which apps and games I have used in all those videos.
thanks ColonelZap for quick reply..
Deletejust doing my research for the phone and some of the forumer already answering my questions..
some of them using PAPAGO x5 for GPS funtion..so it`s really help me and encourage me to buy this phone. :D
the apps that i`m interested in:-
1.launcher that you use
2.apps for picture/video

Hi :-)
DeleteI'm using the SPB Shell 3D launcher and just the regular (built in) Gallery app for image viewing / video playback.
Hi there i live in the uk on Vodaphone sim only contract etc im very happy with the software with no problems so far ,My wifi works well but as always theres always one problem and its my 3G SIGNAL ..IVE contacted Vodaphone and all settings are correct etc any ideas please thanks :)
ReplyDeletehi how bout battery life? does it go thru a whole day with moderate browsing usage? thanks
ReplyDeleteYes, whole day with moderate use. I also install free apps:
Delete1. Antutu CPU Master: to scale CPU speed on demand (automatically vary from 166Mhz to 1.0Ghz, instead of running at 1.0Ghz all the time).
2. 2x Battery saver: to automatic cut mobile internet connection when the phone is idle (screen lock); and auto on-off internet connection during idle (e.g. on every 15 mins and off)
Both software will extend your battery usage per charge.
Hi colonel zap, do you know if this phone shares internet conection with other devices(for example, a tablet pc) ?
ReplyDeleteYou mean wifi tethering? I haven't tried it but I am pretty sure you can use this phone as a wifi hotspot through tethering, if that's what your question is?
DeleteThis phone can work as a wifi hotspot (tethering), and it works very well.
DeleteHallo Colonel.
DeleteIs it possible to change the salescode to e.g. germany after rooting...?
ReplyDeleteHi its me again, could you please give me the most recommended or trusted online store name in china for me to get this device? Or from what online store name you got this device? Thank you in advance
ReplyDeleteHi :-)
DeleteI got it from fastcardtech.com but I´m sure other store should have it as well.
Thanks so much colonel...yes you are right but im looking for trusted store so i'll not loosing my money.....hehehe
ReplyDeleteHallo Colonel.
ReplyDeleteKöntest di vieleicht noch ein paar bilder hochladen das du mit dem handy geschossen hast, und ein video das du mit dem handy ufgezeichnet hast wen das möglich ist.
Danke im vorrus. Grus aus Kroatien.
Hi :-)
DeleteEin Kameratestbild findest Du ganz oben. Video kann ich leider nicht mehr machen, habe das Phone nicht mehr :-(
hello, what do you prefer... this galaxy or thunderbird 4s, what is better? thanks
ReplyDeleteHello colonel,i have the white version of the haipai noble i9220,i bought it from fastcardtech..used it for 3 weeks now,..this phone is very good,...it comes with android 4.0.4,..kernel version 3.0.13,..build number ALPS.ICS.MP.V1.11,.Can i root it with the root script in the link you gave in the rooting section for this phone.
ReplyDeleteI'm scared i might brick my phone.thanks a lot
Hi :-)
DeleteRooting should not be a problem, so far the rooting script worked with every MT6575 phone that has ICS running. :-)
Hello and good morning,
ReplyDeleteSomeone already tested or know someone IPRO 5"?! Is very similar to the star A9220 note.
One thing that is making trouble is they say it's a screen SuperAMOLED! is it possible?!
This I speak and I'll probably buy ... this on ebay uk with the name: (5"MOBILE PHONE IN UK)
Tks for your attention.
ASousa
Hi :-)
DeleteI don´t know that phone but I have NEVER seen an AMOLED display on any of these Chinese phones, so I have my doubts.
Tks for the quick response ...
DeleteAlready seen some with the same characteristics?! except AMOLED .... Suspicious any?!
I wanted to see some reviews before I buy!
Tks for your attention
ASousa
Hi Colonel, you may please help me with the rooting script for MT6573 running with android version 2.3.6, kernel version 2.6.35.7? Thank you in advance. Regards..Jul
ReplyDeleteHi :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is a rooting script for MT6573 phones? USUALLY MT6573 phones need to be rooted with "Super One Click" but you'll never know if that actually works unless you try.
Dear Colonel; congratulations by your blog; ecellent !!.
ReplyDeleteI have the Haipai i9220 MT6575 every thing is working ok, but I can't do Video calls trough Skype.
Do you know something about it ??. Thanks and best regards!
Hello colonel,..i was able to root my white haipai i9220 with the root script you provided..thank you very much for all your advice and help..the haipai noble i9220 is a very good phone for the price,..the performance is very good for the price, ibought it from fastcardtech.com..the only problem i have is the wifi,..my phone will not even scan at all to detect wifi signal, and if you input any wifi adress,..it cannot detect it..the wifi is not working at all,..i have heard some users complain about poor wifi signals on their haipai i9220,..but mine won't even scan at all...can somebody help..thanks
ReplyDeleteHi :-)
DeleteThat sounds very odd, maybe you should try a factory reset? Sorry, no idea why it is not scanning :-(
Thank you for your quick reply to my comment colonel,...i have so many apps installed on my phone now,..if i do a factory reset,..what exactly will happen to all my installed apps.,..will i lose all my SMS messages,..synced emails,..saved phone numbers,..etc,..thanks a lot
ReplyDeleteYes, everything will be gone :-(
Deletei actualy bought 2 pieces (one for my wife) of the white version of the haipai noble i9220 from fastcardtech.com,..i have rooted only one of it,..but both the one i rooted and the unrooted one will not scan for wifi even if wifi is turned on,..it simply does not recognise any network,.even the wifi on my laptop...thanks
ReplyDeleteVery strange! I never heard from anyone having this problem with this phone. Have you tried to turn off the encryption just for testing purposes? Or maybe turn your router off and on again?
ReplyDeleteI have no clue why your phones won't find your router unless you are in a flight mode but I'm sure your not.
How can i turn off the encryption?,...kindly let me know how so i can try that,..
ReplyDeletemy router is not the problem as other phones connect easily with my router,..i have turned my router off and on several times,..still the wifi on both my i99220 will not scan,..ansd ofcourse i'm not in flight mode,..thanks for your quick response always....i appreciate it
The Haipai included battery label says it is eb625152vu. But on checking, it is not. Anyone knows what is the common battery model for this HaiPai Noble i9220 ?
ReplyDeleteI would like to change the battery as the ones included runs out pretty fast. I have a Star B79 and after changing to a Pisen, the battery last easily for 5~7 days vs 1~2 days on the Star B79 supplied battery.
Hi Alex, I have a Star B79 and it runs out on battery in one day. Can you tell me where you bougth the Pisen? I can't find it yet.
DeleteThanx
How can I buy this phone in Egypt?
ReplyDeleteAre there agents in Egypt?
Sorry, I have no idea but my guess is you will have to order it online like everybody else.
DeleteHi there, I have a question with regard to the DSDS (Dual Sim Dual Stand-by) feature of this phone.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have understood if I receive, or place, a call using one of the two SIMS, the other one is not accessible. What does exactly this mean?
For example, does the "free" sim lose contact with its cell? Or is capable to receive a call but not to answer it (rings unanswered)?
And even more important, if one SIM is used to be connected to Internet, does it make the other SIM unavailable as well? I mean, if I am using an always-on connection for, as an example, chatting, can I still receive calls through the other SIM and still being able to answer them?
Finally, I suppose the two SIM slots are not symmetrical, I mean one is 2G and the other one is 3G/WCDMA, am I correct?
THank you in advance for your valuable work.
When one SIM is in use on a call the other one becomes unavailable, as in not connected to the network. It will not ring.
DeleteIf you are using data then you can still receive calls through both sims as normal. I would guess that if the SIM you receive the call from is NOT the one with the data connection, then you will loose the data connection while you are on the call. I am not 100% certain about that, though.
Hello colonel,...i want to do a factory reset on my Haipai noble i9220,...i have already rooted my phone with the root script on you blog,..if i do a factory reset,..will i need to root it again after i do a factory reset?,..thank you for your time
ReplyDeleteHello colonel i am from Greece and i want to tell me about the screen of this phone. its made of plastic or its made of glass? i mean its like the new smartphones on the touch or you realize that its cheap plastic?thank you for the review of this phone it was very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi :-)
DeleteI had a screen protector on it all the time, so I can't be sure but I am guessing it's plastic.
hi again colonel! I want to ask one more question: do you recomment that phone to a man who has the htc touch hd (t8282) since 2008? I mean this phone would make me feel the same as a new buyer such as the touch hd at 2008? Thank you again for your time.
ReplyDeletedisculpe, me gusto el telefono como podria comprarlo? vivo en mexico en el estado de veracruz. gracias.
ReplyDeletehi ColonelZap.i bought this clone note and my 1 is alps brand i9220 mtk6575 and n7000.can u pls help me to root this device?
ReplyDeleteHi :-) MT6575 running ICS? If so, check this out:
Deletehttp://colonelzap.blogspot.de/2012/05/hdc-galaxy-note-plus-haipai-noble-i9220.html
Does this phone (HDC Galaxy Note Plus MTK6575 GT-N7000 I9220 5.3'' Capacitive Screen 3G WCDMA MTK6575 Android 4.0.3) have Greek language ?
ReplyDeleteThere is another 5.3 note clone i would like you to take a look at? It is from FASTCARDTECH.COM called the GT-I9220 note clone. My opinion they are showing you a real note and probably sending something else. Your thoughts would be nice.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry fastcardtech has the Star Galaxy Note Plus GT-i9220 MTK6577 2GHz Cpu Dual Core 5.2 inch Android 4.0 8MP Camera. Which is a very nice looking phone. Chinaecarts claims to have The best 1:1 Clone Samsung galaxy Note i9220 Dual core Clone Smart Phone Android 4.0 OS MTK6577 1.2GHz 3G GPS WiFi 5.3 Inch. I know neither of these phone are dual core but I would really like yours or any one elses opinion on these two phones.
ReplyDeleteActually the MT6577 CPU is a dual core CPU, check this out:
ReplyDeletehttp://colonelzap.blogspot.de/2012/07/star-note-ii-2-n9770-dual-core-dual-sim.html
Ok thanks but I was asking about both phone because I'm interested in them. But i just read one of your post that says do not buy anything from chinaecart. What are your thoughts on the phone from fastcardtech the Star Galaxy Note Plus GT-i9220 MTK6577 2GHz Cpu Dual Core 5.2 inch Android 4.0 8MP Camera. I only ask cause you have had dealings with them but I have also read bad reviews about FCT. Are they a good trusting seller?
DeleteHi :-) I really can't tell you if that phone from FCT is any good, I'm guessing it will be a lot like the phone I showed in my video. So far I never had a problem with FCT :-)

ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have a contact for FIXING my Haipai i9220? I bought it in Hong Kong a few days ago, then the next day came home. I was "fixing" little things, like the GPS wouldn't acquire a satellite and the English dictionary for auto correction was pretty empty. No big deal but ...
ReplyDeleteSuddenly yesterday, the camera, which is awesome, just went black. Takes black pictures and the preview is black. Its hard for me to believe that a brand new phone out of the box has a total camera hardware failure within 2 days of purchase.
Someone online told me to "root" the phone, which I just tried to do here but ... it didnt work. Didnt seem to do anything actually.
So .. does anyone know of anyone out there that knows how to fix, give advice etc on this phone?
Thanks so much
Thanks for the post, It is very informative for me.
ReplyDeleteHi ColonelZap, I bought this Haipai noble I9220, model says A9550 ( specs as described above). I rooted it as you suggested and it worked just fine.
ReplyDeleteNow after a week i'm getting "unfortunately, System_UI stopped". I put this device back to factory settings without any result. Even the phone does not work like it should.
Can you please please please help me?
Is there any one who can help me? I think systemui.apk for this device should do the trick.
ReplyDeleteCan this phone run on 4g or just 3g??
ReplyDelete3g is maximum speed.

ReplyDeletehola amigo tengo mi telefono con el patron de bloqueo y no me acuerdo del codigo me podras ayudar a hacer un hard reset
ReplyDeleteYou can try to boot into the recovery mode (probably Vol + and power button), from there you should be able to do a factory reset. This will wipe EVERYTHING.
DeleteCan u tell my if skype video calls work on this device????
ReplyDeleteI don't remember if I tested it but I am pretty aure it'll work.

DeleteHello, I have a problem with my Noble 5.3 just arrived from china.
ReplyDeleteWhen it dials, the calling screen (red button,...) becomes black after one second and the phone buttons are switched off. Only the speaker and the volume buttons work. Everything goes normally when the call ends. But if the call falls on a voicemail, I have to remove the battery because the phone will continue the call without possibility ending.
Thank you a lot
Dio

Hi :-) Go into the settings, look for an "A" symbol. Click on it, then click the very first entry on top, that should take you to the languages.
