HDC Galaxy Note Plus Haipai Noble i9220: Rooting

The Phone: CLICK


First of all, go to the settings - Developer options and check "USB debugging":


Your phone NEEDS to be recognized as an "ADB Device" on your pc, or else this won't work!


Download this ROOTING SCRIPT

Unpack the RAR.

Double click the TPSparkyRoot.bat

TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Your phone will re-boot several times, be patient!!! The procedure should look something like this:


On success, your phone should now have a "Superuser" app installed and it should be rooted :-)


YOU ARE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

    4. If your phone runs on ICS (and NOT just some fake ICS version that is actually Gingerbread) and if your phone has the MT6575 CPU then yes, this should work as well.

    7. Hello...is there a difference between MT6575 and MTK6575 ?
      Will this rooting method work on MTK6575 and ICS 4.0.6 ?
      Also, I found a later(dated) TPSparkyRoot May 12, 2012 size 1627...compared to the TPSparkyRoot you show: 21st Jan, 2012 size 1552...Any ideas ?

    8. Hi :-) The "right" term is MT6575, a lot of people write MTK just because it its made by MediaTeK ;-)

      I don't know if it will work, just give it a try, I don't think it can do any harm. It will either work or not work.

  4. You need to install K1ADBdriver (google it, lenovo drivers) and install manually from the /drivers/k1adb folder on your c drive.

  6. my i9220 is not getting recognized on my win7 lenovo laptop, i also have an issue with storage.
    for some reason i have following:
    1. Internal storage - 512 mb
    2. USB Storage : 2Gb
    3. SD card (i input this one since i put my own 4gb SD card into an empty spot..)
    I have Copilot installed and i cannot have software or maps moved to this 4gb card for some reason.... damn it

  15. Hello colonel Hello ref the storage problem I think it is generic
    I have managed to set the external inserted SD card( TF)as main install destination but device MUST BE ROOTED to work
    I did it using the M44-toolbox app and install it to device
    in the engineers setting "android MTK" and then look for the app2sd/storage setting just set it to external SD card..now i have reinstalled everything on the external sd card about 3GB worth of sat navs big files etc and still have the 2GB internal sd storage free not even touched it.

    1. hi AJT .... your method though promising, it wont work on my phone. it still recognizes only Internal Memory (512mb) and USB storage (internal 2Gb)...it will not take External TF as external. Once you hit save in M44toolbox it will still save to "external"but this external is actually internal USB Storage, and no the inserted TF card.... damn it...there must be a workable solution!

    2. Einfach weiter probieren und denk dran, das Phone muß nach jeden Schritt erst komplett neu booten bevor man weiter machen kann.

    7. Wie das genau geht, weiß ich nicht, irgendwie kann man den Speicher "ummounten". Schau Dich mal bei chinamobiles.org um, da wird so etwas für diverse Phones diskutiert.

  20. PdaNetA350 lässt sich bei meinem WIN7 über VirtualBox auf dem MacBook nicht installieren, das X26i wird einfach nicht an USB akzeptiert (erkannt schon) aber nicht installiert. Gibt es da noch andere Treiber?

  23. hey colonel is there a way that you can flash phone to stock i have a x26i i got on ebay and there is so many things not working and i think they might of messed with things and they didnt know what they were doing but can i flash it to stock like out of box new? If so how and where do i go because i cant seem to find any kind of support for it.

    I have a B79 (mtk 6575, ics) phone which is working fine. In Google play it is recognized as "Alps B79". I want to put a new screenguard on it as the original has bubbles.
    Can you please tell me this phone is the copy of which original (like HTC 1X or something?) so that I can get screenguards?

    2. Thabks for quick response. I have tried this and also on pc but still no joy. It just seems strange that the card is read only in the phone but on pc I can put music etc on no problem. I basically just want to be able to direct camera photos to sdcard2 aswel as apps if possible.

    4. As for being removable disk only. Don't choose mass storage device. Change it to media player then it should show as an adb device in manage devices on pc

    ich versuche meine Haipai i9220 zu rooten. Unter Winxp habe ich den Android Composite ADB Controller in der Sytemsteuerung. Aber TPSparkyRoot meldet ständig :"error: no device found", zwischenzeitlich hatt ich mal "eror: more than one device found".
    Was mache ich falsch? Muss der USB-Speicher aktiviert werden oder nicht?

    1. Hallo :-)

      Schwer zu sagen wo das Problem liegt? Auf jeden Fall muß "USB-Debugging" im Handy aktiviert sein, also nicht als Massenspeicher verbinden. Hast Du mal verschiedene USB-Ports oder mal ein anderes USB Kabel getestet?

    I have a HDC i9220, bought in Fasrcardtech, with the BUILDING NUMBER: ALPS.ICS.mp.v1.11; CUSTOM BUILD VERSION: 1336364185
    1.The Google Location service is not functioning. Although I have the option enabled, none of the Apps recognize that the option is enable.
    2.As you know 2 GB is nowadays a limited space. Because of that I bought a micro-SD Card of 32 GB, but my software version has a bug, which forbids to move apps to the external SD card. Right now I have the USB storage full and the micro-SD card useless!

    Can fix this issues or send a new ROM?
    This would be really cool :)

    ·CPU:MTK6575 1Ghz CPU +800 MHz GPU
    ·Dual sim card dual standby.
    Network GSM:850/900/1800/1900 3G WCDMA 800/850 /2100MHz
    I live in USA, and T-Mobile USA is my service provider.
    Problem:
    Same phone, same T-Mo USA SIM card.. works on Optimus in Portugal and T-Mobile in Germany.
    But will not connect to T-Mobile in USA.
    After I do *#*#INFO#*#*, and go into Phone Info,
    1) "Turn radio on" button does nothing...always stays "Turn radio on"
    2) Select Radio Band --> Set GSM/UMTS band --> gives two options: "Automatic" and "EURO band", No USA or America Band.
    No radio buttons to make selection.
    When I select "Automatic"...I get this: "Set [Automatic] Unsuccessful"
    When I select "EURO Band"... I get this: "Set [EURO Band] Unsuccessful"
    Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thanks.

  40. Hey Colonel. Hope you get around to giving me a reply. I wanted to try out your rooting method, but I can't get my phone to be recognized as ADB device. I have the exact phone you're reffering to, with android 4.0.6. I activated the usb debugging in the phone and tried all of the usb ports and it finds it as an MT65XX Android phone. I have windows 7, if it helps. Thank you in advance if you can reply.

    1. Managed to do it. Now I have a bit of a problem because I saw here that no one gave a good answer if this works with android 4.0.6 and I would not like to 'break' my phone. Do you have any idea if it will be ok ?

      In my opinion this rooting script is "harmless", it either works or won't work, I don't think your phone is in any danger. But that's just my humble opinion, I am not an expert!

    3. Hey again :) Unfortunately it did not work. It just keeps on saying 'error: the device is not found' :( I used PdaNet 3.50, activated it onthe phone, as well as the pc and still nothing. I pressume it is because it doesn't work on android 4.0.6? The one thing I did not try is running the .bat from the phone memory. Is that how I was supposed to do it? If not, would you be able to give me a short explination on how to do it so at least the phone is recognized by the .bat and see if I can root it or not ?     4. Hi :-) You run the *.bat from your pc while your phone is connected as an ADB-Device (check your device manager). If that doesn't work, you can also try this rooting script:

    Würde mich freuen könntest du mir helfen.
    Habe ein I9220 mit 5,3 Inch Farbe Weiss bei Fastcardtech bestellt und auch bekommen.

    Leider wurde mir nicht wie bestellt ein i9220 mit 5,3 inch geliefert sonderm eins mit 5 inch und auch noch in schwarz.

    Sind die bei Fastcardtech immer so unseriös?
    und wo kann ich was besetllen wo ich auch das bekomme was ich bestelle?

    Jetzt zum Problem.
    Das Handy funktioniert Supi, aber leider wird die einesetzte Speicherkarte nicht vom System genutzt.

    Zwar sind die 16GB im System drinne man kann aber keine Apps drauf Speichern.

    Gibts da ne Lösung? Frag dich weil du Schon sowas wie ein Guru bist im China Handy segment.

    1. Hallo :-) Eigentlich sollte FCT auch das liefern, was Du bestellst!

      Die externe Speicherkarte ist eigentlich nur für externe Daten gedacht, so Sachen wie MP3, Bilder, Videos, etc. Das ist normal, das hat nichts mit Chinahandys zu tun, so funktioniert Android. Es soll aber Möglichkeiten geben Programmdaten trotzdem auf die Speicherkarte zu verschieben, suche mal im Playstore nach "links2sd", damit kenne ich mich aber NULL aus :-(

      Welches Gerät kannst du mir empfehlen was gut ist.

    3. Hi :-) Mir hat das Hero H9500+ (auch als Zopo ZP900 bekannt) sehr gut gefallen. Das sollten mehrere Shops im Angebot haben, Erfahrungen habe ich bislang aber außer mit FCT nur mit Merimobiles gemacht. Schaue Dich einfach mal etwas um :-)

    4. Fastcardtech is VERY unreliable.
      I ordered a quad band phone for USA, and they shipped me a Dual Band Tinji Mobile Phone that cannot work in USA. After much struggle, I had to spend $25 out of my pocket to ship it back and get my refund from PayPal.
      They are Jokers, and no one should buy from them.

    2. You need the adb-drivers. Install PDAnet on your pc, it USUALLY comes with the drivers you need.
