  1. Looks nice! Thinking of getting this since the Google M99 4S doesn't support 3G. Any other noticeable improvements from the M99? Anything the M99 does better?

    1. How about battery life? Any chance you could leave both the M99 and Thunderbird running to see how they compare?

  3. Hi,

Whats the battery performance like - Im assuming they have upgraded from the other companies 1050 mah battery, seeing that this phone has a 1 Ghz CPU and that the srceen looks so bright?

    1. Sorry, I can't tell you, I haven't used this phone on a daily bases. It also VERY much depends on what you do with the phone, the screen brightness settings, how strong or weak your wifi and / or 3G / GSM signal is, if you are using a bunch of push services or not, etc.

I always have the MOST difficult time judging the battery performance, whatever *I* might experience could be completely different from what others might experience.

For example: I have a SUPER weak 3G reception inside my house. If I set any of my phones to 3G, the phones try to connect to the 3G network constantly, draining my batteries within hours. If I change the settings to "GSM only", the batteries could last days!

So, REALLY tough for me to judge an "average" battery performance.

    1. Hi :-)

As far as I can tell, the English is very good on this one, but it does have some apps on it that are still in Chinese, the compass for example.

  8. @ColonelZap: On the internet there are 2 versions available. One with android 2.3 and the other one with android 4. Does your article about rooting works for both versions?

The GUI shows apple OS but actualy the OS is android. How does that work? If you install an app from google play, can you place an icon on the apple OS? Can GUI be set on fully android? I like the looks of the iphone but I also loves the android OS. Is this a good phone then or are there phones with android only, but with all the other specs of the iphone (retina screen, metal body, glass...)

    Thanks for your expert vision
