    I don't know about the play store, I need root access in order to fix the play store. If that phone had ICS on it, it wouldn't be a problem, I know how to root MT6575 phones that run on ICS. On Gingerbread it's more complicated, somebody needs to make a pre-rooted bootimage, unfortunately I don't know how to do that :-(

    I'll need to search some Chinese forums, hoping to be able to find something :-)

      But I din't make the rooted bootimage myself, somebody on a Chinese forum made it, I have no idea how that's done.

    I have a problem and I guess that you are the only one, who could know the answere :( I tried several forums but nobody could help and even google has never heard about this problem: I have a momo11 bird, bought it with cyanogen mod 9 - the problem is, it always tells me, that no external storage is available, so no gallery, camera, apps with additional data are working. an sd card is insterted...tried several cards...all are working fine but not in the tablet..could it be the rom? i already tried the pwn3d roms, too :( what could that be (san1985@gmx.de)

    1. If you have tried different firmware and a factory reset then I am GUESSING it could be a hardware defect of your sd-card slot? Sorry, I really can't tell you :-(

      Maybe I need another phone. I am looking for thin phone with 4.5 to 5 inch good quality screen, that would play flash. My budget is $150-$180. Any suggestions?

    1. I really can't tell you if an ICS version will be available for this phone. From MY experience Flash works on MT6575 with ICS.

    2. Interesting. Does that mean the phone is outdated? I really like to design and I am thinking of buying it (I'll make sure to use the link on your we site, so you get your royalty). But if I'd be stuck with an old technology, then maybe it is better to buy the original (and more expensive) device? Please share your thoughts.

    3. MY experience is that Gingerbread is a lot more stable than ICS on these Chinese phones but of course you can also try to find a phone that has ICS already on it. You can buy wherever you want, I don't get any royalty whatsoever ;-)

  15. Hi :) This is a great blog, thank god I found this...

    I have a problem with my S3 clone, its rooted, but I cannot use phone dialer.

    Problem: Unable to make phone calls, send messages etc.
    The Phone dialer, Contact & Messaging apps gives a error msg
    "The system is not authorized will automatically shut down"
    Once I click YES, the apps closes. (ScreenShort "dialer error"attached)

    Same thing happens when I open Contact apps. (ScreenShort "contact error" attached) once I click YES, apps goes but keypad remains at its place.

    I installed "Go Contacts EX" from play store, this allowed me to open contacts, and I'm able to make a call to any of them. Call connects, but same error msg displayed, and I cannot do anything else than clicking the YES. (ScreenShort "dialer error 2" attached)

    1. Hi :-) I really don't know what is causing these problems, if I were you, I'd try to boot into a recovery mode (maybe by pressing and holding power and vol + ???) and do all the wipes you can find there. A factory reset might also work?

    2. Hi ColonelZap, Thanks a lot for your time going through the post.
      I have tried, to boot two ways

      1) Power + Vol (+) : This takes me to Factory Mode
      -Full Test
      -Item Test
      -Test Report
      -Clear eMMC
      -Version
      -Reboot

      2) Power + vol (-) : This takes me to Android syatem recovery <3e>
      -reboot system now
      -apply update from sdcard
      -apply update from cache
      -wipe data/factory reset
      -wipe cache partition
      -backup user data
      -restore user data

      Here two wipes are available. I've used data/factory reset, which gives below result
      -- Wiping data...
      Formating /data...
      Formating /cache...
      Data wipe complete.

      Reboot device. Every thing became back in chinees.
      Used setting to switch to English.

      Open Dialer.... No luck, same error msg.

      Should i install CWM or else.
      Looking forward for a solution.

    1. Hi :-) There is probably nothing you can do about it. You can try to look for some battery saving apps on the play store but they don't really help saving much if the phone is operating on "full speed" (like gaming).

    2. Its chinese device, I had no idea what brand it is, I just know model number: MID, build number: alps.ics.mp.v2.2 in about device menu.
