    1. Hi :-) I'd go with the S3 PLUS, it has the stronger CPU and more RAM :-)

    2. but s3 mtk6575 more fluent and looks better than s3plus, have you experienced gti9300 s3 mtk6575?

    3. and where can i buy s3 plus? because buying from fastcard is too expensive for its shipping fee.

    4. I don't know who might sell it cheaper? And trust me, the MT6577 DUAL CORE CPU phones run faster.

    1. Hi :-) Das Handy muß gerootet werden, so könnte das klappen:

Danach mit Titanium Backup VORSICHTIG Chinaapps einfrieren oder löschen.

  4. Dear Colonel!
I got this hero h2000+ phone, and I have two questions if you can help me please?
Should I root it and will it be better when I do root it?
Is there a way to customize it so that it completely looks like a real iPhone 5? Which apps, launchers or whatever should I install to get that and I want it to last permanently, not just that it looks like iphone once I start that app, but I want it to turn on with that app :)
    Is that possible?
    Thanks!

    1. Hi :-) If you don't feel the NEED to root it, then don't do it!

You could install the Espier Launcher (for example) and you can set it as the default launcher, so it'll load automatically whenever you boot your phone :-)

  5. Thanks man :)
But can you just tell me will it work better, smoother or why do people root it anyway?
I am having issues with this phone already, and I got it today. After I charged the battery when it emptied it loses energy too quicky, and after the recharge it lasted only 4 hours!???
I had a tablet which had similar problem and after I updated the firmware on it things got better. Do you maybe know would the root help with this and is there a firmware update for this phone?
Thanks again! Love your blog!! :)

  6. Hi :-)
I'd be VERY careful to flash a new firmware, they have changed some hardware components, chances are that something might not work on your phone after a firmware flash (e.g. camera(s), wifi,...)

Rooting alone won't make your phone any faster or better, it just gives you more access:

And I am sorry, I have no idea about your battery problem :-(

  7. Can you at least tell me can I root it without any worry?
I have 121115 build, and I read that there are some issues with hardware changes, and that's why I will avoid flashing it, but I would like to try to recalibrate my battery with some app, but I cannot do it without rooting it. So, is it safe to root it if I do it abiding all the rules on how to do it safely?

And can you suggest me some good paid or free battery calibration app if you have any experience with that?

  8. You can try this:

Sorry, no idea about a battery app :-(

    1. And what about this thread:
      http://colonelzap.blogspot.com/2012/10/hero-h2000-mt7577-rooting-tutorial.html

Can I do it following those rules, or you suggest it is better to follow the way shown on xda dev forum?

  9. As I wrote in that thread, PLEASE try the xda dev method first! When I started that thread "my" method worked perfectly for every phone, then they produced units with different hardware components, so chances are that your phone might have different components then my phone had and "my" method might screw something up on your phone :-(

So, please don't flash my bootimage, try the xda-dev rooting script :-)
